It’s not hard to tell when a company truly cares about their customers, and this is one way that American Express goes the extra mile for their customers. With “Year End Summary” from American Express, you can see everything you’ve spent in the last year in one spot. You’ll get an interactive overview of your spending, including pie charts, that’s organized in categories like “restaurants,” “entertainment,” and “travel.” At a glance, you can see where you’re spending too much, and where you’re doing well.
Here’s how it works: any time after January 1, log in to your account and click the “Year in Review” button. You’ll be able to see everything from the past calendar year in one convenient spot. If you need to transfer this information to another spot or another program, you can download your review to a .pdf file or an Excel file.
The online year end summary reflects any charges that were posted to your account from January 1 to December 31 of the previous year. Transactions made on December 31 but posted by the merchant at a later date may not appear in that year’s transactions.
