Your insurance score is how insurance companies determine what coverage they’ll offer you, and at what price. It’s important to stay on top of your CLUE report by checking it through organizations like LexisNexis and Consumer Disclosure
Once you’ve placed your order with Consumer Disclosure, you’ll receive your CLUE report within 10 business days. Once you get your CLUE report, you may come across an item that you want to dispute. Fortunately, it’s easy to do so! If you file an amendment request, Lexis Nexis will investigate your claim with your insurance company, and will notify you of the result within 30 days. Remember that you can only request a change to a report where you were the primary policyholder. If there’s something wrong with your CLUE report, be sure to report it quickly!
If you’d like, you can send an opt out request to LexisNexis. When you do this, your personal information is completely removed from the LexisNexis system, and you (or anyone else) will no longer be able to request reports concerning any of your accounts. In addition, you can place what’s called a “security freeze” to temporarily limit access to your account.
